Snow and Rain
Well, the semester's over and we get a couple weeks of vacation. It was a good semester and I learned a lot about the college experience. I'm really excited thinking back on a great year. I'm excited about Christmas, too. Every year, Christmas seems crazy with gift shopping and cooking dinner, and in the past years I was doing school during the Christmas break. Hopefully, this year will be relaxing. We've taken on a light load of presents and dinner. The weather in California is cold, but it is warmer for this time of year. Within the past couple of days, rain clouds have moved in, but stayed far enough away for us to play our volleyball finals. I am hoping that it will snow, but rain would be good, too. We had a Christmas party after the volleyball finals today. We had a lot of fun eating pizza and filling ourselves with sugar :). As for vacation, I plan to read some new books, watch movies, and just plain relax. I pray that you all have a safe, blessed, and wonderful Christmas holiday.

Relaxing
Christmas is getting closer. Final exams and papers are being finished up. As we get caught up in these events, we might be a little more stressed than usual. We just have to remember to rest and relax a little. I posted a video that will hopefully relax your mind. It's very funny.
Have a blessed day.

Thanksgiving and Christmas
I had a great Thanksgiving and I hope that you all had a great one, too. I always have fun with my family; good food makes it even better! My dad put up Christmas lights. It is the first time that we have put up lights to decorate the house exterior. We've put up lights before inside the house with garland (I love that stuff). Christmas is a great time of year. I'm preparing for the mass of holiday movies that will be playing on tv, but I can hardly wait for "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (the animated one). I also like Home Alone 2 because of the Christmas theme. The other day, I saw that a movie channel was playing the Nativity Story. We must all remember that Jesus is the Reason for the season! Here are a few pictures from my Thanksgiving. Have a blessed day.

Thanksgiving
Today is Thanksgiving! I have been waiting all year to be with my entire family and eat good food. This week, a really stressful thing was lifted off of my shoulders and it made me realize that I am truly thankful for God and my family. I think that I would have gone crazy if not for God's loving power and my family's love as well. I think that love is on my list of things that I am thankful for this year. Health and my family are two others. But I think that without love, I would have broken down this year. As the year comes to close, I like to reflect on the major events that happened this year. The ones that I remember the most were ones that were filled with love. So I just have to say, "Thank you God for your love! I am truly thankful for you and all that you have given me and my family."
Have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving!

Strength
I realize that God can work quietly in my life and "set me free" so to speak, in areas of my life. When I have things that worry me, I know that I can give them to God and He will take care of it. Even during volleyball practice, I feel happy when I am diving in wet, muddy grass because I know that God is keeping me from harm and blocking worried thoughts from my head. Sometimes, we get bogged down with weights from life, but God is the one who can wash us free of life's grimy things. He gives me strength.
Have a blessed day.

Dance like Nobody is Watching (Hello)
Hi,
I am going to get started by telling a little bit about myself. Let's see... I'm eighteen years old and I live in California with my family. My sister is fifteen. I have a German Shepherd named Sunny. I am an English/Journalism major. I really enjoy writing. Watching movies and reading are also things that I enjoy doing. And Dancing. I enjoy dancing. This led me to think about something that I wanted to share. Last night, my sister and I were in the kitchen eating cereal. I turned on the radio and a dance song was on. I turned the radio up louder and louder. No one else was home besides my sister, so we decided to have a mini dance party. We were swinging around the kitchen, trying out new dance moves. The volume level got louder as we laughed at our AWESOME moves! Then, just as we were laughing the hardest, the front door handle squealed open. I jumped and screamed at top of my lungs. My sister fell on the floor laughing at my "braveness". It was a really funny situation and it fit into that saying "dance like nobody is watching" =).
Have a blessed day.
